    This auction is the "Foreclosure Sale" of a commercial property located at 2012 Castle Hayne Road in Wilmington, NC. The auction will be held live on the Courthouse steps of the New Hanover County Courthouse located at 316 Princess Street in Wilmington, NC.     This 2.78+/- acre property is located on the corner of Castle Hayne Road (Hwy 133) and Spring Road on the north side of Wilmington near the airport between I-140 and the new Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway (Hwy 74). The property has frontage on both roads, with the main access being through several drives on the Castle Hayne Road side. There are two commercial buildings on the property along with a large covered canopy and lots of open and fenced storage spaces. The facility is currently being utilized as the home of a large wrecker/towing & recovery and repair company.


    This building (left side facing property) appears to be all steel construction with an office area of approximately 900 square feet on the front, an enclosed shop area of approximately 2,000 square feet directly behind the offices, and a second shop/storage are of 2,500 square feet behind the first shop. There is also a large covered shelter area at the very rear of the building. All of this appears to have been built as a garage/repair building, possibly at different stages, but all modern.

There is a large approximate 1,280 square foot raised canopy on the front of the building. This appears to have been originally constructed as a garage/repair facility.

The property has approximately 360' of frontage on the front along Castle Hayne Road with multiple driveway entrances. There is approximately 170' of frontage along Spring Road on the left hand side of the property. The rear and right side of the properties adjoin other parcels.     TERMS – This auction is a “FORECLOSURE” auction and is subject to all North Carolina General Foreclosure Statutes. The property is being sold subject to all matters of tax, title, and survey. . A 5% deposit or $750.00 deposit, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, is required at time of sale. The sale is subject to all North Carolina Foreclosure General Statutes including a “(10) DAY UPSET BID PERIOD”, meaning that the last and final bid at the auction is recorded with the Clerk of Court for the county that the property is located in and held open. Anyone can contact the Clerk’s office and raise the bid during the raise period. All raises made after the close of the auction must be of at least 5% of previous recorded bid and must be made through the Clerk’s office. Each time the bid is raised, the (10) day “upset bid period” starts over. This process continues until there have been no raises. At that time, the file is sent to the Clerk for the confirmation process. Once confirmed, the high bidder will have (30) days to close on the property.
