    This is a United States Federal Bankruptcy auction of a modern steel building situtaed on a small lot located at 1270 Island Road in Harkers Island, NC near the Elementary School and Fire Department. The building was most recently utilized as a custom boat building facility.

    The property itself is a 0.37 acre parcel of land with approximately 90' of road frontage on Island Road (the main road onto and across the island). It contains (2) separate buildings. The primary building is an approximate 46'X96' modern steel building of 4,400 square feet with approximately 20' of eave height. The building is entirely metal clad, fully insulated, and constructed on a concrete slab.     This real estate auction will be held outside in a large open area where the proper social distancing can easily and comfortably be accommodated. We also only expect a very limited number of attendees at the auction. We would ask that whenever possible that only one representative from each bidding party attend the auction in person as this would also help keep our attendance numbers reduced.

    Additionally, as a part of our continuing and evolving efforts for the comfort and safety of our customers, employees, and the community we will be offering “Absentee Bidding” for those who do not feel comfortable attending the auction in person. “Absentee Bids” must be made by 4:00pm on the day prior to auction day.     TERMS – This auction is a “FORECLOSURE” auction and is subject to all North Carolina General Foreclosure Statutes. The property is being sold subject to all matters of tax, title, and survey. A 5% deposit or $750.00 deposit, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, is required at time of sale. The sale is subject to all North Carolina Foreclosure General Statutes including a “(10) DAY UPSET BID PERIOD”, meaning that the last and final bid at the auction is recorded with the Clerk of Court for the county that the property is located in and held open.
